Special Comment on Gay Marriage – Keith Olbermann

Keith Olbermann of MSNBC speaks to the viewers. November 10, 2008

direct link

Whatever mary.

But really, you all know how i feel about gay marriage. The same way i feel about straight marriage. Institutionally perverted contract that the meek now want a piece of, while they get fucked in the ass by subsidies. Keith Olbermann, you’re a very passionate man, and I respect you for having the gall to do this, potentially losing viewers in order to speak his mind. However this isn’t about love, this isn’t about money… this isn’t about anything anymore.

Michael Moore – Slacker Uprising DVDRip DiVX

NOsegmenT brings us Slacker Uprising from Michael Moore. This movie is available for free on the movie’s website (you can find the link below). But you must be in the USA or Canada. If you aren’t you won’t be able to download the movie from the site, which means you’ll have to get this one. But if you’re smart you’d use a proxy to download from the site. Oh yea on the site you can choose to download in MPEG4 or DiVX. One more thing there direct links to both versions below. Now I don’t really follow this fellow’s escapades, but its nice to see a fat guy spur America into getting off their asses. Haven’t watched it yet so download at your own risk.

In October 2004, just before the United States Presidential election, Michael Moore went on a 62-city tour through the undecided states to register and rally young would-be voters to vote for a change in our country. Michael was joined on tour by some of the U.S.’s most politically involved musicians and artists, including Eddie Vedder, Steve Earle, Roseanne Barr, Joan Baez, and Viggo Mortensen (to name a few). With visits to college campuses and other venues, this documentary showcases what the filmmaker calls “the birth of a new political generation.

Actor, comedian and exasperated dad Mac dies at 50

bernie-mac.jpg

Bernie Mac blended style, authority and a touch of self-aware bluster to make audiences laugh as well as connect with him. For Mac, who died Saturday at age 50, it was a winning mix, delivering him from a poor childhood to stardom as a standup comedian, in films including the casino heist caper “Ocean’s Eleven” and his acclaimed sitcom “The Bernie Mac Show.”
Though his comedy drew on tough experiences as a black man, he had mainstream appeal — befitting inspiration he found in a wide range of humorists: Harpo Marx as well as Moms Mabley; squeaky-clean Red Skelton, but also the raw Redd Foxx.
Mac died Saturday morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital, his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles. She said no other details were available.
“The world just got a little less funny,” said “Oceans” co-star George Clooney.
“This is a very sad day for many of us who knew and loved Bernie,” said Don Cheadle, a member of the “Oceans” gang. “He brought so much joy to so many. He will be missed but heaven just got funnier.”
Mac suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body’s organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005. He recently was hospitalized and treated for pneumonia, which his publicist said was not related to the disease.
Recently, Mac’s brand of comedy caught him flack when he was heckled during a surprise appearance at a July fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate and fellow Chicagoan Barack Obama.
Toward the end of a 10-minute standup routine, Mac joked about menopause, sexual infidelity and promiscuity, and used occasional crude language. Obama took the stage about 15 minutes later, implored Mac to “clean up your act next time,” then let him off the hook, adding: “By the way,

History Channel – Life After People

I was over at one of my favorite blogs onedigitallife.com, and got reminded of a history channel original I watched not to long ago.

Life After People explores the tantalizing question of whether all the remnants of mankind will eventually disappear from our planet. What would happen to the earth if humans ceased to exist? Would ocean life flourish, the buffalo return to the Great Plains and our skyscrapers yield to the wear and tear of time? Visit the ghostly villages surrounding Chernobyl, which were abandoned by humans after the nuclear disaster in 1986 and then travel to the remote islands off the coast of Maine to search for traces of abandoned towns that have vanished from view in only a few decades. Learn from experts in the fields of engineering, botany, ecology, biology, geology, climatology and archeology as they provide answers for many thought provoking questions.

Epuron – An interesting commercial.

Touching, makes you kind of want to give him a hug.
That reminds me, spoke Manson on the phone yesterday, said he’s be touring soon, and Twiggy’s with the band again, great news. This has inspired me, you’ll see how soon.

Vote Obama, McCain

If possible, vote out-of-state; if not, vote uncommitted.

After seven years of the Bush regime, a long-awaited replacement at the White House and a new vision for America is only 375 days away. Across our country, there is a growing recognition that the Bush administration’s shortsighted approach to policy has further entrenched America in political divisiveness, advantaged America’s wealthiest people at the expense of its less fortunate and brought our nation into an unnecessary and internationally embarrassing war in Iraq. The damages are being billed to our generation. In this year’s upcoming primary elections, we have an opportunity to support candidates who can change this destructive course.

While making a difference in a primary election is usually as simple as punching a ballot for the best candidate or candidates, the situation in Michigan this year has practically stripped voters here of their say. Chastised by the national Democratic and Republican Parties for challenging the unfairness of the current nominating process, Michigan now has an incomplete list of candidates on a Democratic ballot that has no power at the Democratic National Convention and a Republican ballot with half its usual convention strength. This is an insult to Michigan voters from the national parties, not necessarily the candidates, who can’t be blamed for the parties’ politicking.

No matter how insulting the diminished ballot is to voters and despite the obstacles, it shouldn’t keep them from voting. Although it would usually be incumbent of all University students to vote here in Ann Arbor, where their votes would emphasize the student voice, this election is the exception. Out-of-state students should vote absentee in their home states, where all of the candidates will be on the Democratic ballot and all of the delegates are still promised (with the exception of Florida). However, in-state students must work within this year’s unique confines, using the option of voting uncommitted to cast a ballot for those Democratic candidates not on the ballot. Voters cannot write in the major candidates not on the ballot because these votes will not count.

AniMix_Project-Full.512×384.XviD.mkv

Vuze Dashboard has introduced me to many independent artist that would have otherwise gone noticed. This ill piece is comprised of classic and contemporary anime from over 100 different AMV artist. Mix that with a highly dancable synced track from more than 240 songs from the nineties, and you have Animix. I witness clips from akira, puni puni poemi, ghost in the shell, neon genesis evangelion, vampire hunter and hundreds more. If you’re fan of the aforementioned, you will appreciate this, if not, with wont get it (it’s extremely “progressive”). Best way to experience the rapture is with several hundred watts and many thousands of lumens.

The project started in summer 2003, and was completed in april 2004.
It was awarded “Best Multi creator AMV 2004″ at animemusicvideos.org’s Viewers choice awards 2005
