I never got into Röyksopp but I knew it was a matter of time before I answered the call. I must say it was the perfect soundtrack to my work day. It’s toe-tappin’ head-bobbin fun from the elegant rhythms and rich pluggy waves, to intricate upbeat tone with moving vocals and mystery samples. I also just learned that Karin Dreijer of The knife has vocals throughout the album “Junior”, ie; track No 7 “Tricky Tricky”. It’s digital, it’s semi-souless, but it is also an exploration.

My friend Jeff is actually picking up David Blane from the airport right now so that’s a given guest appearance. He’s doing a practice run for some trick on his tour.

I had so much fun this evening. I have to thank Cheryl and Rich for making this evening happen first and foremost. Then Josh, JohnB, Cait, Eva, Mike, Bethany, David Blunk II, Steph, Tony, Audre, Mike, Amy, Jeff, Carinne, Shanon, Phil, Sam, Alex.. Ernie, Joe, Steve, the bands… It was a exhilarating, overwhelming, orgasmic. The after party was like a concentrated plasmatic dose to the dome piece, thanks for letting me dj! Close friends are where it’s at. You guys are beautiful.

I was wrong in back in oh five when i called Santi White of Stiffed “black NoDoubt”, lol kind of. Though both later leaving there punk bands to exercised their solo career, Gwen Stefani does not have a double-major in Music and African-American studies. Santi White has proven herself through her unique stylings and won much attention with the releases of Creator and L.E.S. Artistes, her debut tracks from March of this year. During the month of April, iTunes featured Santogold on their Discovery Download and sent her hurling towards stardom.

This girl is gorgeous, innovative, and with the release of her self entitled album Santogold (last april) she’s just recently picked up as a very hot club commodity. I know I’ll see more collaborative works featuring Santi White before this year ends, it’s just like a Libra to keep the good stuff coming.
