The 1962 science fiction film La Jetée by Chris Marker.

La Jetée is set in a post-nuclear war paris and focuses on a group of survivors living underground as they experiment with time travel. It was produced with minimal budget, has no dialogue, and was constructed almost entirely from black and white still photographs. It is simply one of the most stunning and important visual statements made in the last hundred years.
If you have not seen the film, you must. You can watch it below in three parts (it’s only 28 minutes long).
In 1996 mit press produced a book of images from La Jetée. That book is now out of print, but this year zone books reissued La Jetée in all its glory. The book includes all of the film’s original images along with the script in both english and french. You can buy a copy at mitpress.mit.edu.

Plot: New Jack City written by Thomas Lee Wright, is a story focused on real-life Detroit gang about the Chambers brothers. A crime lord ascends to power and becomes megamanical while a maverick police detective vows to stop him. Even thought i haven’t seen this movie yet, it looks like blade is in it so, i would go and watch it. OH! and that dude from law and order…the one where people always get raped. ICE-T MAN! ALSO the dude that plays a donkey in Madagascar… i think hes in rush hour too, wait.. that was Chris rock. Well that pretty much sums up the cast. The director, Mario Van Peebles (who happens to look like DMC), has won 6 awards and received 10 nominations. This movie alone has received an award along with 3 nominations.
Even thought movie only won one award, it was nominated for 3 others…but DIDN’T win….so what does that tell you. So maybe go watch a movie by M. Night Shyamalan… hes got a really cool name. Shyamalan is a proud director nominated for 2 Oscars with another 9 wins & 19 nominations its pretty crazy…but he has nothing to do with this movie, so moving on.

Hellboy, though not Pan’s Labyrinth, is still a film directed by Guillermo Del Toro that should be witnessed by anyone who’s a fan of sci-fi. His remarkable ability to sew real-world history into comic fantasy will have to believing that Rasputan was actually a sorcerer attempting to open the chaos realm. At least I was almost certain of that fact while me and Liz we’re shroomin in my “Nintendo car”. So here it is in blu-ray for you my whores.

Crystal Castles is a Toronto-based band, consisting of multi-instrumentalist Ethan Kath and vocalist Alice Glass. I personally enjoy their remixes, and live performances. Some of the remixes include “Hunting for Witches” by Bloc Party, and “Atlantis to Interzone” by friends, Klaxons. If anything, make sure you download Health’s “Disco”(2008) below.. it’s particularly beuno.

Crystal Castles, named after the 1983 Arcade Game by Atari, Inc., formed in December 2003 as a project started by Ethan Kath. In April 2005, Alice Glass recorded vocals for five original instrumentals by Kath. The band’s first single was recorded “accidentally”: a microphone test by Glass was released through MySpace as “Alice Practice” in September 2005. Glass was not aware that it had been used until record companies heard the song and contacted the duo to offer them record deals.
Since the release of “Alice Practice”, the duo announced plans to release their first full-length album on Last Gang Records, which was released in North America on 18 March 2008 and released in the UK on 28 April 2008. Watch this video to get your blood pumping. This opening really helped them make their mark, i’d like to see them in detroit.

Cloverfield TS XViD-OBSESSiON – Torrent
Aparently this movie has been big shit, and i got some requests to make this post. The group OBSESSiON comes out of the underground to quickly release the first scene version of the highly anticipated Cloverfield. I haven’t seen it yet, so i can’t tell you whether or not it’s that great. The Release is a Telesync meaning that it has been recorded with a handheld camera at the cinema so its not great quality, but is what most would call “watchable”. Although it has got dupe frames so it will seem like the image is running a little slow. Audio is better and comes from a direct source so although far from perfect it will do the job just fine. If you cant wait for anything better leech, unrar, smoke up, watch and enjoy! If you have any other qestions, have a look at the NFO.
